Locking Down Orders

Hello folks. Most of you have likely received an from Backerkit stating that your orders are being locked down with a 48 hour notice. Orders will be locked completely tomorrow 12/10. Cards will be charged directly following this. We choose to lock cards with a 48 hour notice to accommodate those of you who have still not filled out surveys, as I received a couple questions regarding surveys yesterday morning. Again, everything will be locked and your cards will be charged tomorrow. This is the final warning. If your surveys are not completed, or your cards do not go through, you will likely be out of luck.
As a not toe EU/EEA backers who are in for physical goods, we have a potential work around to get your physical rewards to you.

LAST DAY TO LOCK DOWN YOUR ORDERS!

Hello,
Tomorrow, Sunday Dec. 8th around 12:00 PM EST the backerkit surveys and preorders will be locked and closed down at that time. At this time 30 of you still have not filled out a survey. If you do not fill out your survey you will not be getting rewards.
Concerning the EU/EEA backers. I have a work around if you want to attempt to keep your physical goods coming. It is not a 100% solution but should work. Please message me directly if you are choosing option 2 below.
EU and EEA Backers - NEW EU REGULATION AND CONSEQUENCE
A notice to all who may not know, the EU has issued new regulations regarding products sold in/to those living in EU and EEA countries, as well as Northern Ireland. These regulations (as well as the decree that companies outside of the EU/EEA need a representative within, will make it difficult for me to legally ship, as I will not have a representative/economic operator staffed, due to the few physical orders I get from the countries affected. It would not be worthwhile. Nor can I meet all of the requirements of declaring the books "safe" due to using different printers on different projects and not having enough information on the ink and finishes used. The EU countries are:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
The European Economic Area (EEA)
The EEA includes EU countries and also Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
OPTIONS IF YOU ARE IN ONE OF THESE COUNTRIES
Option 1: Update your survey to a digital only pledge. I have updated all pledges within the affected countries to be able to change there pledge over to a digital only pledge. If you chose to move to a digital only pledge, when funds are collected you will receive a refund in the difference between your original pledge and the new pledge you have changed to.
Option 2: If you would still like to TRY to receive your physical goods, keep you pledge the same (make sure to complete your survey if it is not) and I will ship your rewards anyway. IF YOU CHOOSE TO GO THIS ROUTE YOU ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY IF YOUR PACKAGE IS NOT DELIVERED. Appendix N Entertainment accepts no responsibility in this case.
I will be sending out this portion of the update in a message to all affected backers as well.

Hello all. Just a reminder that Backerkit Surveys close this weekend! Orders will be LOCKED on Sunday December 8th. Shipping Has Been Fixed!

Alright folks. During my lunch at my day job I managed to get in through a back door by accessing surveys that had already been completed. It appears that for some reason BK had automatically added an estimated shipping fee, that was shown as being part of the campaign, despite the fact that we did not estimate or charge shipping during the campaign. That said, I was able to disable that "feature." Shipping appears to have been fixed AND autocorrected on those surveys that had already been filled out. Please feel free to double check this, but I checked some of the surveys that had already been filled out, and it appears that they have auto-adjusted.
I apologize for the issue, but everything is now in order. Those that had already filled out a survey should have to do nothing more.
Thank you for the support and patience again. To make up for this issue, I will be issuing everyone on this campaign a free pdf copy of the original OSE version of this book from 2023. This version is different than the version that funded with this campaign and is being retired to make room for the new Shadowdark mirrored edition. This will be issued via Drivethrurpg, but will likely not go out until next week, as I am prepping to head to U-Con (which I do side work for) later this week.
Again - the issue is fixed. You can continue to fill out your surveys and anyone who already has turned in a survey should not have to do anything more.
HOLD OFF ON SURVEYS

It looks like there is an issue with shipping profiles worldwide. I am looking shipping profiles and nothing is adding up with what people are seeing.
We have everything in as "weight based for a full order". Example, for shipments in the U.S. orders from 0.1 up to 3 pounds are supposed to be being charged $8.00 flat for shipping. People are reporting they are being charged $24.00. It seems to be charging 3 times what it should be on most order. I have double checked both the shipping rates for orders and the weights I have listed on each book and this is not adding up. The books are in at actual weight, so you should be getting back correct rates. There has to be some form of glitch in the system.
Please do not complete any more surveys until I can get this fixed. This will be at least tomorrow, as Backerkit is closed down for the U.S. Veteran's Day holiday today.
